Connect Newcclm with Cursor

Cursor supports overwriting the interface address of OpenAI, so it can be directly connected to our gear. It is recommended to usenewcclm-coding。

Different versions of Cursor are set in different locations. The following are the paths of recent versions; if your interface is different from what I wrote, Search「OpenAI」 or 「Base URL」to find that column.

1. Override OpenAI interface address

OpenSet up → Models(or the Settings → Models → OpenAI API Key area), expand and fill in:

After filling in, click theVerify(verify). It is ready to use if it shows success.

Why usenewcclm-coding？It has been optimized for long codes, multiple files, and tool calls, and is more stable in scenarios such as Cursor that require repeated reading and modification of files.

2. Turn off incompatible built-in features

Some functions of Cursor are tied to its own model, and using third-party interfaces will report errors or behave abnormally. After connecting us, it is recommended to turn off:

Tab autocomplete—— It uses Cursor’s own model and cannot use third-party interfaces.
Some built-in tools in Composer/Agent- it depends on the version. If an error is reported, turn it off.

Chat and code Q&A are unaffected and work as normal.

3. Don't match it like this

Don't use the “Anthropic” or “Google” columns

There are input boxes for different manufacturers in Cursor. We can only fill in our address in the OpenAI field—— We use the OpenAI protocol, and if you fill in the Anthropic column, you will not be able to connect directly.

4. Take a test

Run this in the terminal first to confirm that the key and address are OK. This works but Cursor doesn't work. It’s a matter of Cursor settings:

Phenomenon	Possible causes
Verify failed	Incorrect Base URL or Key
Verify succeeded but the conversation reported an error	Turn off the built-in features (such as Tab completion)
Halfway back to interrupt	Network middle layer buffers streaming; contact company network administrator or switch network
Hint model does not exist	The model name is filled in with the real model name
